SVP - would like to thank parishioners who gave so generously last weekend. Over £700 was raised. CWL - would like to thank all those who helped and supported the jumble sale. The proceeds went to children’s charities, mainly the Brentwood Catholic Children’s Society. We also sponsor a boy’s education in Burma through the Charity “STAND BY ME”. CAFOD ART SALE - Many thanks for your support. See report in panel below. A handsome cheque is on its way to CAFOD.

The sale in the Becket Centre after Masses last weekend [29/30th October], of artworks by local artist and parishioner Bernadette Croft (pictured, far left), raised over £350 for CAFOD water projects. Thank you to everyone who purchased one of Bernadette's pieces. Clean drinking water helps protect families from deadly water-borne diseases. Having a supply of safe water nearby means that women and children don’t have to walk for hours each day to fetch water. Having safe water to cook with and bathe in ensures that families stay as healthy as possible. If you missed the sale but would like to make a gift of water for a family for as little as £33, find out how here>>>

Were you there? More of it next week.

CWL JUMBLE SALE - Many thanks to everyone who helped at the Jumble Sale and for those who donated the goods! A fantastic £1,200 was raised for Children’s Charities. Although everyone enjoys the day it is extremely hard work, moving jumble to the sheds (Fr. Michael assisted with this!) for the 3 weeks beforehand and especially at the end of the day. We need a team of men and women to assist even if only for an hour on the Saturday afternoon. If you would be willing to help (its only twice a year), please give your name and number to the parish office. The next jumble sale will be in February so please do not leave any jumble in the church porch until you see the note in the newsletter as we d
