Saturday 28th April has been designated World Tai Chi Day. To celebrate our local Tai Chi class (who meet in the Becket Centre on Thursday mornings) intend demonstrating Tai Chi on the Green in Woodford - adjacent to the cricket pitch. Weather permitting that is!! We would welcome anyone who would like to join us take part in this wonderfully healthy, gentle martial art. Rudi de Burgh

His hip operation due on 20th March has now been deferred to 17th April. Good Friday, 30th March, will be the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. To allow recovery from the hip operation it is planned to have the Thanksgiving Mass of this significant occasion on Saturday, 9th June, at 11am here at St Thomas’, to which all are welcome.

The name sounds like some sort of archaic Druidic process. In fact it means that at the Easter Vigil – only 4 weeks hence – we will welcome with delight 9 new members to our parish family. They have learned, studied, thought, prayed together regularly - some for over a year. Now it is our task and our joy to accompany them more seriously.
