Adoration this Friday-Saturday

Why? Jesus many times says: Ask Pray Seek. We very much want to be free of the virus. We cannot expect that is to happen if we do not heed his instructions – to ask. But then why at night? A long tradition comes down from the Desert Fathers & Mothers in the 3rd century AD and then steadily reinforced through the monasteries, teaching us that the middle of the night is a good time to pray. All is still. Especially if you have managed a time of rest to clear the mind and feelings. We talk to God. More important we listen. We tell him how we feel, what we want. A bible and particularly a Gospel can be a help. Read a passage slowly, build up the picture with imagination, go back over it. Be still. Look at him. Listen
