Our Common Home: new CAFOD campaign on climate change
You are warmly invited to attend the launch of CAFOD's new campaign-'Our Common Home' at a Creation Celebration Mass, on Saturday 25th May, at 6pm, in the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Billericay (21 Laindon Road, Billericay, CM12 9LL). The theme of the Mass will be giving thanks for the gift of creation, and we will be offering prayers for our common home. Bishop Emeritus Thomas McMahon will be celebrating the Mass. We hope that you will also join us for refreshments at after Mass. For more information, please contact Angela Sparke at asparke@cafod.org.uk
Climate change affects our health, our homes, our heritage and our beautiful landscapes. It ruins the work we do to fight poverty and to lead better lives. We have made huge progress on climate change, but things are urgent now. We need to work together to go further, faster to end climate change. Together we Catholics can turn the tide. We can treat our home with respect by leading the way, taking responsibility and forging new habits. We can call on politicians to go further and faster with emissions cuts. Get involved in the Our Common Home campaign today.
