Safeguarding
In holiday time things become more relaxed. So it is good to remind ourselves of the vigilance everybody needs to maintain. Nolan: “It is principally in the parish… that awareness needs to be at its highest”. So a reminder
In regard to children there are 4 main kinds of abuse about which we must be alert: to Sexual, Physical, Emotional and Neglect.
In regard to adults who may be vulnerable there are 6 potential forms of abuse: Physical, Domestic violence, Sexual, Psychological, Financial, Modern slavery, Organisational, Neglect, Self-neglect.
Not a pretty menu for your meditation I regret, but there is a need for us all to be alert to what may be happening in our modern world. A reminder therefore that we do have a safeguarding policy and help can also be obtained by emailing: safeguardingST@outlook.com
