An end to restrictions?

The politicians seem adamant that covid restrictions will end on July 19th. It is hard to see any wisdom in the proposal with daily infections rising by tens of thousands each day. It looks as if their intention is to finish with regulations and leave it to each individual to see and do what safety requires. Instead we are blessed to have a health and safety committee that is well informed – of “data” and all the other considerations to be borne in mind if we are to ensure complete safety for everyone in church, parish and all its activities. When the government speaks on July 12th we have in mind some minor relaxations of our cautionary practice. We can only wait.
