Feel deprived?
I hope so. For it is this concentration on the physical touch of Jesus that characterises us as Catholics. Everything about Jesus is family involved.
Good natural families come together at a table and find their bonding sharing the meal. For special occasions, for the routine of daily life it is this sharing of a meal that brings familiarity and love, healing of rifts and hurts, welcoming friends and strangers. It is sad when meals are on a tray before TV or if at table, eaten with fork and iphone. - Thank God the numbers able to share our mass have been growing in recent weeks. We are still scrupulous about distancing so that the most we can accommodate is about 140. We yearn and pray for the day when you can all come, singing and loud in prayer once more.
