The Friars welcome the opportunity to offer the holy sacrifice of the mass for your intentions. The mass is a sacrifice. So it is customary to offer a small donation as a token of the sacrifice you are making. It is a voluntary offering. In the mass the priest prays as he offers: “my sacrifice and yours”.
