Let there be light.......

A Spanish Count de Torre Diaz gifted the original sanctuary lamp, which hung from the ceiling in the middle of the sanctuary. The history of the Franciscan parish at Ascot by Philip Fearon refers to two lamps there, presented by a Mrs Rose Kerr, only one of which remains. That's because we have the other in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, which arrived here after the Franciscans withdrew from Ascot in 1980.
