A new church.........

On completion the church looked like this. There is a pulpit for preaching on the left, reached by a little spiral staircase. There are two side altars against the inside walls, and the main altar was topped by two angels and an Ark of the Covenant type structure, with an Archangel standing to either side. The Blessed Sacrament Chapel was a choir for the Friars back then, and the sanctuary was set behind altar rails. Today’s hymn board looks pretty old, but it is not original - hymn numbers back then were displayed on a pillar to the front right.
